Friends of Music is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization of parents, teachers, alumni, and community members whose mission is to support the music programs throughout the Lyme–Old Lyme public schools, Connecticut's Regional District 18, at all levels.
This support takes many forms, such as faciitating the distribution of high school band and chorus uniforms; providing water to high school and middle school student musicians during the Memorial Day parade; and granting special requests from music faculty at all the schools for unbudgeted items. Great Gatsby Gala on May 26th at the Old Lyme Inn is a fundraising event for Friends of Music– Lyme/Old Lyme. Among other things, money raised at this event will allow us to award scholarships to deserving students as they begin their college careers.
